about

PRESS: jazzdelapena.com/reviews/emer...

"In March of 2020, amid the pandemic, the guitarist and student, Lolivone de la Rosa was forced to discontinue her studies at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. In response, she composed the tune, Resilient Terrace, which speaks to coping with negativity outside of one’s control. She also drew inspiration from the British Jazz Fusion and Progressive Rock guitarist, composer Allan Holdsworth’s 54 Duncan Terrace (which appears on the classic 1989 album, Secrets).

From what I’ve seen (heard) thus far, De La Rosa has a penchant for modern jazz but her talent and vision are boundless. She is part of a new generation of Puerto Rican artists whose artistry transcends conventional categories."
